  • Believes democracy and freedom are “incompatible”
  • A proponent of René Girard’s “scapegoat theory” which says society needs a scapegoat or they will eventually turn on those with power. This is why he supports Trump’s othering and fear mongering.

  • Thiel advocates for small city-state governments entirely outside existing nation-states that are run by corporate leaders with unchecked power.
